  • The point of the website is for the portfolio to give the film makers exposer - meaning they are able to get money
  • Private investers means you are more likely to get bigger sums of money
  • The quotes and bullet points are morely to bring in investors as they will provide rewards for the money.
  • Making it seem easier to invest and make money from it will bring more people.
  • The portfolio means that users can look through successful and unseuccessful ideas in order to make their ideas successful.


Creative Europe:

What they do:
-They host events and attended events across the UK.
-Organise their own free seminars and workshops about creative Europe.
-They attend conferences, festival, and markets.
-Funding available through Creative Europe for professionals and organizations --in creative, cultural and audiovisual sectors.


How they help:
-The MEDIA sub-programmed supports organisations working in film, television and new media, and offers funding, training and networking opportunities for:
    Producers
    Video game developers
    Distributors
    Sales agents
    Audiovisual training providers
    Organisers of festivals, markets and networks
    Film education specialists
    Cinema exhibitors


Results:
Through Creative Europe's MEDIA sub-programme, €40 million was invested in the UK's audiovisual sector: 113 UK companies and 55 UK cinemas in the Europa Cinemas network benefitted directly from grants totaling €22 million, and 115 British films had their distribution supported in other European countries with €18 million of investment.
Through Creative Europe's Culture sub-programme, 115 cultural, creative and heritage organisations in the UK benefitted from €15 million.
Through Creative Europe's cross-sector strand, four organisations in the UK benefitted from €1.5 million through the European Creative Hubs network and Refugee Integration Projects.

They bring together the UK’s film national and regional agencies, producers and sales companies under one umbrella to provide clear information about the outstanding locations, services, films and talents. They stand out to represent the UK film industry and enable connections with both national and international partners.

Partners:

BFI – British Film Institute. Founded in 1993. Registered charity governed by Royal Charter.
The BFI is the lead body for film in the UK with the ambition to create a flourishing film environment in which innovation, opportunity and creativity can thrive by.

The British Council is the UK’s cultural relations agency creating international opportunities for, and building trust between, the people of the UK and peers in other countries. Its Film department - part of a wider Arts Group - is the link between UK films and filmmakers and new international audiences. It works to profile the innovation, diversity, creativity and excellence of British films around the world, and find opportunities for creative exchange between UK filmmakers and international counterparts.

The British Film Commission (BFC) is the national body responsible for maximizing and supporting the production of international feature films and high-end TV in the UK. With offices in the UK and the US, the BFC provides free professional advice to help make productions in the UK a reality.
They have commercial partners such as Disney, Double Negative, Framestore, Harbottle & Lewis, MPC, Pinewood Studios Group, Saffery Champness, Warner Bros. UK and its UK-based film production operations, Working Title Films, Elstree Studios and Coutts.

  1. Most of this is cut and paste as opposed to research notes. The process of taking notes and summarising is what will enable you to remember information and to learn contextual detail, not cutting and pasting. This is essentially a pre-production task - research into finance in order to finance a film. The research you have completed wouldn't have got you very far...
