Concept Art, Visualisation Diagrams, Flats Plans, Prototypes and Mock Ups

Concept art:
  • Concept art is a form of illustration used to convey an idea for use in films, video games, animation, comic books, or other media before it is put into the final product.
  • Concept art is important because it give the guide lines for the feeling of the product/idea you are showing. It gives off the overall feel of the idea.
Visualisation diagrams:
  • Detailed drawing providing images of what the idea/product will look like, and how it may work.  
  • Will have annotations, can be changed as the process goes on
  • It is useful because it gives you the first basis of the idea of what the product/idea could look like. Allows you to have a main idea to go off of.
 Flat Plans:
  • Only get a flat plan with printout documents, such as a magazine or leaflet
  • Runs off a template, that would be chamged
Prototypes:
  • A prototype is an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or process or to act as a thing to be replicated or learned from.
  • Mainly objects, that you go out and pitch with to try and sell. 
Mock Ups:
  • Athstetics, normally to do with logos and products the logo is on.
